Our Teacher

13406850_10209251557466847_7452691835156394060_n-2I am delighted to introduce myself as the teacher of your children in the upcoming school year. My name is Claudine Chircop and I have graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Hons.) Degree from University of Malta in 2003 and this is my 14th year that I will be teaching.

I’m also the webmistress of our school’s website and a school council member.

As a teacher I always do my utmost to have a cheerful classroom and most of all instill in the children a love of learning.  I always work toward reaching the students in my classroom by tapping into their interests and prior knowledge. I act as a guide on their journey through year 4, leading them toward discovery and further exploration of ideas and topics. I am sure they will have fun in my classroom. I will do my best to bridge their knowledge gained in year 4 with real-life connections so that the students will continue their life-long journey through education.

I expect the very best from each student, not only academically, but also behaviourally and socially. We will work as a team to bring out the best in everyone in our classroom. I will empower the students in my class to be the best that they can be everyday.

I believe that parental involvement in schools is considerate and beneficial. Families working in close partnership with teachers can have a significant impact on their child’s academic achievement, particularly when they are focused on helping students do well in school. I try my best to provide as much opportunity for interaction as possible. In this way I create a classroom blog since I think it’s extremely useful for teacher-parent communication and it show cases the children’s learning.

I am sure that the ilearn platform and the classroom blog will help us keep in touch as well as keep you updated about what the kids are learning at school. You will find the children’s daily homework, weekly topics, information about events and outings, photos, links to websites related to the topics we will be covering and much more. I look forward to having a fantastic school year with you and your children, one filled with happiness and enjoyment for all the members of our class.
