World Read Aloud Day

Dear parents,

today is World Read Aloud Day. All children have the right to read and write, and to change the world with their words and stories. It has been found that reading to your children for just 15 minutes a day can improve their reading skills and help them foster a love of reading. Being an active reader with your child strengthens the bond between you and allows you to take adventures through the pages of every book you touch. The goal of World Read Aloud Day is to “motivate children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another, and creates a community of readers advocating for every child’s right to a safe education and access to books and technology.” For more information about this special day you can click on the picture below.
